Motorola Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are the new mid-range smartphone with Android 7.0 Nougat, announced by Motorola at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.

Motorola has first replaced the plastic with the aluminum, a material that gives improved aesthetics, typical of high-end devices. The hydrophobic coating protects smartphones from water spray and rain. It has also added the fingerprint sensor on the Moto G5 Plus (formerly was available only on Moto G5 Plus model). On the back, you can see the new camera lens with a circular shape. The back cover of the G5 Moto gives access to the removable battery, while that of the Moto G5 Plus is sealed.
The Moto G5 has a full HD screen of 5 inches with an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, while the Moto G5 Plus has a full HD display 5.2 inches with an octa-core Snapdragon processor 625 clocked at 2 GHz. as far as the allocation of RAM and storage, Motorola offers different configurations depending on the target market: 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal memory for the Moto G5 while 2 GB, 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB of internal memory for the Moto G5 Plus. There are the microSD slot, the 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB port.

Connectivity is provided by WiFi module 802.11a / b / g / n, Bluetooth class 4.2, GPS and LTE. The Moto G5 Plus also incorporates an NFC chip. The batteries have a capacity of 2800 mAh (Moto G5) and 3,000 mAh (Moto G5 Plus).
The operating system is Android 7.0 Nougat. Motorola has added some useful apps, such as Moto Display for displaying notifications locked smartphone and Moto Action for performing specific operations through gesture (for example, open the camera by rotating the wrist).
